District Magistrate also called as District Collector is the head of District Administration. One Additional District Magistrates assist; him with Eight Deputy Collectors to run the Administrative machinery. Deputy Collectores are head of the various departments like planning, resettlement, supply, election etc.
There are thirteen Tehsil headquarters assigned to five Sub-Divisions. Each one has a Tehsildar as the administrative officer. Whole department of a Tehsildar work in accordance with the land record system to serve the farmers and land holders. The sub-divisions are 1. Buldhana (Buldhana,Chikhali,DeulgaonRaja) 2. Malkapur (Malkapur,Motala,Nandura) 3. Mehkar (Mehkar,Sindkhed Raja,Lonar) 4. Jalgaon Jamod (J.Jamod, Sangrampur) 5. Khamgaon (Khamgaon, Shegaon). Five;Sub Divisional Officers work at the division level to distribute the power at local level.
Tehsil are are again divided into Circles. Out of circles a group of 3-4 circles are handled with Naib Tahsildar. They enjoy all the powers of Tahsildar for their assigned circles;. Each individual circles grouped by talathi saza(s)/chavdi(s) handled by Revenue Inspector. The office of the talathi is known as saza.
